In Memory of
Ernesto Che Guevara -- gerrillero heroico,
courageous revolutionary -- internationalist,
person of high spiritual purity and unprecedented
total dedication, hero of struggle for freedom
and independence of Latin America.
There are information in russian, english and spanish languages on
this site. On December 2,1956, Fidel Castro and 81 other combatiants, including Che Guevara, landed in Cuba to begin the revolutionary war against U.S.-backed regime of Fulgencio Batista. Over the next two year the Rebel Army conducted an ever-widening guerrilla struggle that won increasing popular support in the countryside and the cities, culminated in the revolution's victory on January 1, 1959. Between 1959 and 1964 Guevara wrote a number of articles describing some of his experiences as a guerrilla combatant and commander. These were later published in Cuba as a book entitled Pasajes de la Guerra Revolucionaria ( Episodes of the Revolutionary War ). These are several articles selected from that account.
